BMW appoints VLT as digital agency

BMW Malaysia has appointed award-winning design, technology and innovation agency VLT as its digital agency in Malaysia for the year 2015 and 2016. The strategic partnership will see local agency VLT oversee all digital and social media needs for the BMW brand in the country. VLT is one of the country’s largest digital agencies by headcount. An underdog in a landscape of global network agencies, VLT often punches above its weight, winning clients, awards and community recognition for its work, initiatives and unique culture.

Announcing the appointment, says David Owen, Head of Marketing, BMW Group Malaysia (picture), “VLT demonstrated the capacity and capability to deliver the level of passion that BMW needs from an agency, and we’re very excited to kick-start 2015 with them.”

The BMW win comes on the back of receiving double accolades in Campaign-Asia’s recent Agency of the Year awards; Gold for Southeast Asia Independent Agency of the Year and Bronze for Malaysia Digital Agency of the Year.
