Ogilvy leads the pack in Malaysia’s 2014 top 10 creative wins

(Marketingmagazine.com.my) - According to latest stats released by R3, a leading global marketing consultancy and research firm, Ogilvy dominates the list of Malaysia’s top ten biggest creative wins this year.

Ogilvy Malaysia had bagged Maxis in May after the country’s top telco and one of the biggest accounts had called for a pitch. Apart from this, the agency features twice more on the list for winning Tiffany & Co. (No. 5) and INTI University (No. 7).

McCann Malaysia is another agency with an impressive showing in 2014 as it managed to grab the high-paying Petronas BTL and Digital account (No. 2 on the list) for 2015, and Versalink Furniture (No. 6).

Other important winnings for the year include Carlsberg’s decision to go with JWT (No. 3) and Leo Burnett finding a new ‘companion’ in Samsung (No. 4), while also becoming a partner in Sime Darby Property’s (No. 10) advertising and marketing endeavours.

Naga DDB claimed the eighth and ninth spot on the list with Tropicana Gardens and Mudah.my accounts, respectively.

Mindshare won the biggest media account Nestle in January, while Carat of Dentsu Aegis Network acquired the media for Mondelez International, the multinational confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate (No. 2) and FrieslandCampina, the dairy cooperative behind the Dutch Lady brand (No. 5).

Universal McCann performed well in 2014, winning Southern Union (No. 3), CIMB Bank (No. 8) and AAR Fusion Industries (No. 10). Other important media winners are Starcom – appearing thrice on the list – for Samsung (No. 4), Media Prima (No. 6) and AIG (No. 9), and MEC for Cotra Enterprise (No. 7).
